Equine-Assisted Soul Experience
"In the Soul Recognition process, you establish a deep connection through your soul, with the essence of who you are. As the vital link with your soul is established, you begin freely expressing and creating from this essential place of strength within you – the place that yearns to be fully alive."
─ Flo Magdalena
The Equine-Assisted Soul Experience was developed out of the work of Flo Magdalena and Soul Support Systems. As well as her work with Soul Support Systems, Flo Magdalena is best known for her book about the relationship between Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene, I Remember Union.
It was revealed to Flo, during her research for the book, that in the ancient world of that time, there was a practice that was used to facilitate people in being able to experience or recognise their soul’s purpose in this lifetime, which Flo calls Soul Recognition,
Flo Magdalena had previously worked with Linda Kohanov and her horses out in Arizona, and it was during this time she discovered that horses acted as a catalyst to the process. So she began to explore the possibility of combining the equine work with the soul recognition work and she came together with Kathleen Barry Ingram to explore the idea further here in the UK.
This is when Dawn met Flo Magdalena and the equine and soul recognition work was developed into the Equine-Assisted Soul Experience.
Dawn describes that first experience of Soul Recognition as being profound and life-changing. It introduced her to this process and to a group of people who were instrumental in the unfolding of things for her.
Flo Magdalena describes the process here:
“In the Soul Recognition process, you establish a deep connection through your soul, with the essence of who you are. As the vital link with your soul is established, you begin freely expressing and creating from this essential place of strength within you – the place that yearns to be fully alive. This is a profound way to acknowledge your soul, the part of you that is immortal, eternally strong, and endures without separation, judgment, or fear. The soul is the first place where acknowledgement of the self is real, the first place where oneness happens, and the first place where “we-ness” is felt. Holding within it our highest potential, the soul is the meeting place of spirit and form and contains knowledge and memory of the Source of all life. When we are linked with the Source through the soul, we experience union with all things and fulfil our yearning to be whole.”
Soul Recognition is a deep, cleansing and shamanic experience made all the more potent by the presence of horses. It is a cleansing of the soul from grief, and a beautiful discovery of one’s self, an awareness of soul, and of its purpose in this lifetime.
