"When I am in movement with my Horse in the Dance, primarily what I am doing is celebrating and honouring my relationship with the Divine, the sacred spirit that unites us all and measures the beat of our lives. When I am in the Horse Dance, I am at times, seeking to move my horse, but ultimately noticing where I am moved".
─ Dawn Oakley-Smith
Working with horses therapeutically may seem relatively new, but this is not at all the case and in fact working with horses spiritually is older than us, and well known in ancient cultures. For First Nation Americans, horses are recognised as relatives, wise souls, knowing, feeling beings and this is how we work with horses in the spiritual workshops that we offer.
