About The Event

5 days of Relational Horsemanship, Embodied Dance, Ceremony, Sharing, Laughter & Depth

Shadow work can be delicate, it is an act of soul retrieval.

The invitation is to prepare ourselves and our circle for what is ready to be seen and integrated - to be brought into the light of awareness, so that we can become more whole, at home and at peace in our world.

As we enter the shadowlands guided by the herd and one horse in particular, we may meet forgotten aspects of ourselves damaged by childhood trauma, unfinished ancestral business, cultural restriction or past life events.

Within the shadows live the aspects of our humanity that have been shamed, punished, abandoned, unloved, unforgiven, blamed and held back. And yet hidden in the dark recesses of humanity's shadow is tremendous wisdom and energy; it is where our wounded brilliance lives.

Our intention is to bring the light of compassionate listening, enquiry and reflection to this journey.

The dark is a place where old wounds may fester, coagulate and cause trouble for us when the ignored  aspect tries to get our attention (which they do every day!) and we do not know how to listen or tend to the wound.

The dark is also a place of nourishment, resting and gestation - good timing and readiness are essential for any interventions, like good midwives we must understand that forcing the birth of revelations can also damage them and traumatise the vessel.

We aim to honour the dynamic dance of dark and light of consciousness and unconsciousness, of known and unknowable, bringing humour insight wisdom and acceptance.
